Bio

Clara Evelyn Brill is a musician active in the fields of performance, composition, and education. She has performed internationally at venues including Millennium Park, the Great American Music Hall, the World Cafe, the Kennedy Center, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and the Festival D’Ete de Quebec. For 12 years, Clara has been an official performer at SXSW, where she has also been a featured panelist speaker. Clara provides lessons for violin and viola students, performs for private events, and records strings as a studio musician. She is a co-founder of the Mother Falcon Music Lab, a multi-media education program that centers on creative ideation and collaboration. Clara has composed for installations and scored music for film, theatre, and podcasts. As an artist, she writes music featuring soundscapes and field recordings, and maintains an array of creative projects with her friends. Clara received her BM and MM degrees in Violin Performance from the University of Texas at Austin studying under Prof. Sandy Yamamoto. This fall, she will join the faculty of Sul Ross State University’s music department.
